	Job Description: Essential Function The primary roles of the Senior Software Engineer are to provide programmed technical solutions to satisfy project requirements, to time and budget and to provide support and advice to both internal and external customers, to mentor, train, develop and provide work direction to junior members of staff ( SE & ASE ) in CTMS technical standards and processes, whilst contributing to the technical architecture of CTMS products. Key Accountabilities Responsible to the IMPACT Team Manager , technical lead or other senior personnel for the proposal, progression and implementation of very complex development tasks to cost and timescales; Provide analysis for technical solutions, including research, development, Build, Deployment and review(Code, Use Case, Specs) activities for assigned team and members. Knowhow of the Service oriented architecture, Web Services and latest design patterns. Provide technical and application assistance to customers; Confirmation that technical solutions are developed to appropriate, approved standards; Investigation, development and implementation of technical standards; Development and adherence to the CTMS SDLC / Agile scrum processes and published programming standards. Provide technical assistance to the members of the Development & Support team; Investigation of reported issues, and identification of solutions to those issues; Investigation, development and implementation of development standards and processes; Provide support to junior members of staff ( SE & ASE ) by mentoring in fields of expertise; Provide training to junior members of staff in technical solutions and implementation of technical standards/processes; Proactively investigate, develop and implement technical application architecture standards and processes; Skills Mandatory Skills Java 1.5+/ J2EE WebServices Struts 1.1+, JSTL XML PL\SQL HTML/XHTML JDBC/Servlets/JSP JQuery, JavaScript Desired Skills CSS XSLT SVN/CVS JUnit/Selenium etc Oracle 10g+, Tomcat 5.5+, OOAD Agile Scrum Education Educated to minimum of degree level in a science related discipline Language Skills Highly proficient in English (written, verbal and comprehension) Minimum Work Experience Between 5 to 10 years of commercial development experience.
